Observations
The pizza is very good, very fresh and has about 1/4 the meat that I'm used to in the states and about 1/10 what I would like
Rolling suitcases would have never been invented from someone in Italy. The streets and sidewalks are so uneven!
Validate your train ticket or someone will validate it for you and include a nice fine as a bonus. It sure seems like we were targeted coming out of the airport on the first train... gotcha! 80 euros fine
Very little green space. Hardly any trees anywhere in the city.
More cigarette smoke than marijuana smoke, opposite of Minneapolis
No screens on windows but there are some bugs, hmm, I like screens
Water is never free, Small town or big city
Garbage cans are very hard to find, Small town or big city
Everyone likes little shops and trinkets way more than Graham does!
Doors open in toward the building, hard to get used to. Not very safe as an emergency exit, but keeps the doors from opening into the sidewalks. Even new buildings are built like this

Traveling in a group of seven is kind of tough, crossing streets, getting an Airbnb, making reservations, we did well in general with making decisions however
Small pop cans are disappointing, hard to get used to
Two of us splitting one sandwich and they want to kick us out for not both buying something. Even when it's not full in their shop. Kinda picky
Shae's The Office wine quote: not too dry with fun flavors and a okay afterbirth
Not much litter, pretty clean cities
Very few public places to sit, few Park benches: keep the people moving
Occupancy tax must be paid in cash (we knew about this but upon reflecting still seems strange)
A bird crapped on me twice, once in Cinque Terre and once in Venice, probably different birds. It seems nobody, but me prefers Android.
Gelato 5 or 6 times this last week
The light switch always OUTSIDE of the bathroom door, didn't the people who designed these things have siblings that would mess with them!?
Kleenex are very rare, never found in your Airbnb or hotel room
Lot's to love about Italy. But, there are some things that the US gets right. Garbage cans available, free water, free bathrooms (most places), good times, thanks Italia!
