St. Mark’s Basilica

St. Mark's Basilica. Worth the tour, glad we had a tour guide to help make sense of everything. Like most of these - it's over the top ornate! Way too much, everything with a ton of meaning.

Venice lasagna

Thanks to Steve and Carole, we went deep through the winding narrow paths and bridges of Venice to find the perfect lasagna. Behold! The lasagna! So tender, very tasty! Thanks Trike! The meal also included a salad, Pork Chops, dessert and wine, but it was the lasagna that made it.

Wine tour: Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano & Chianti

Image
Our tour guide spoke six languages  Our tour guide suggested WHICH wine was best to take pictures with. That's a lot of instructions.  So many buses, each one with their tour guide that pops open their telescoping little flag so everyone can see to follow A lot of people holding up or pushing over the tower, kind of amusing in itself "You should check out the side streets, but be careful as they are inviting you to get lost" - tour guid quote we liked San Gimignano: Siena   Don't get the mounding gelato   Non-Mounding variety is better  Only "pay to potty" options and they can't make change
